Utilising a lot of technologies from ranges higher up in the Hertz range, this 8" subwoofer has had special attention paid to both cooling and dynamic compression. The spider support drives air directly to the 6-layer voice coil keeping it at an optimum temperature and avoiding compression. Another consequence of the cooling strategy means there is no need for a vent in the base plate meaning the sub can be mounted very close to the back wall of its enclosure. less distortion when the subwoofer is mounted in a compact enclosure.
