GAS MAD S3-12D2 Subwoofer 12" 2x2 Ohm

The GAS MAD S3-12D2 is a 12" MAD S3 series subwoofer with dual 2+2 ohm voice coils, rated at 600 W RMS (1200 W max) with a 20-200 Hz frequency response.

Key features

• Light-weight non-pressed paper cone and 3D aluminium dust cap, similar to the MAX S1/S2 series
• The aluminium dust cap transfers heat away from the voice coils
• Embossed GAS logo to minimise resonances and ensure stability
• Rubber suspension with dual stitching, borrowed from the MAX S1/S2 series: strong, resilient and flexible, with the stitching in GAS orange
• Fully stacked core with dual 2-ohm 2" TIL voice coils made with 4-layer copper wire
• Non-conductive voice coils, which move smoothly through the magnetic gap
• Robust steel M-basket from the MAD S1/S2 series, combined with a double-stacked HQ ferrite motor from the MAX S1 series
• Pressure-bonded M-gasket in IMPP material, which stabilises the basket and minimises the risk of damaging the suspension when securing the subwoofer
• Improved DVS2 ventilation system (the same technology as the MAX S1 series), placed in both the backplate and in the basket under the spider, to keep the subwoofer cool
